Following in Abby's Footsteps

Anna was born 25 years ago in the ivory tower known as Cambridge, MA. Her parents meant well but could not help but instill within her a quasi-unassailable sense of entitlement to, and disdain for, the world around her. She sailed through a series of ritzy private schools with grace and ease. Trust me when I tell you that she never suffered the physical or social awkwardness of adolescence.

Of course such illustrious beginnings are not without consequence. During her college years, Anna struggled to transform her innate sense of superiority into compassion and empathy for her fellow man: this was her first failure. It was not until graduation, when she entered the non-profit sphere, that she was able to successfully step off her now-despised pedestal and ascend the altar of professional mediocrity.

In this vein Anna coasted along for a few years, reveling in her newfound lack of direction and purpose with the abandon only espoused by those destined for greatness. Fate knocked at her door in October 2006 dressed inexplicably as Pete Nabozny, who offered her the chance to drag his as-yet-unnamed website from oblivion into glory. As Glibberish's resident advice columnist, she will value your questions with the same fervor she once valued money and social status, and her enthusiasm (and remarkable skill!) for dispensing wisdom is only matched by her zeal for criticism and judgement. You can be sure that your queries will be incisively and benevolently addressed, though your insecurities will be violently scorned and ridiculed. As far as we can tell, she is in fact better than you (but in her modesty, she'd never admit it).
